PLAN
Project Planning begins with a client interview to discuss your requirements and opportunities. EIS then develops a specifications document, along with a timeline that assures the on-time completion of all project tasks. Throughout the life of the project, EIS maintains responsibility for overseeing all project work and keeping the project on schedule.
DESIGN
Publication Design begins with creation of a preliminary design for the publication based on client specifications and preferences. This design outlines the publication content, structure, features and capabilities. After client review and approval, this design becomes the blueprint for further and future development.
Graphic Design incorporates artwork, graphics and design elements received from our client to contribute to the publication's "look and feel". A graphic design is developed that includes artwork for screens, packaging materials and printed materials. From this, a prototype is produced for client review and approval. This working prototype contains everything that will be in the final publication (e.g. graphics, menu screens, indexes, etc.) except for the publication's detail content.
COLLECT / ASSEMBLE
Content Collection and Preparation
Materials may be submitted to EIS via various methods, in various forms - via upload to our collection web site, by submission on disk, and in certain circumstances, via email. We can collect materials using a system of automated forms which we customize for each project that uses them. Also, we can collect materials using information imported from most popular manuscript processing systems.
Publication Assembly
EIS assembles all submitted materials, creates index lists, and incorporates all client-specified features including hot links, bookmarks, web links, video players and search features. During this phase, EIS delivers a pre-master publication to the client for review. This preliminary version of the publication is reviewed to capture and incorporate the client's initial comments early in the process instead of waiting to discuss all feedback at the end of this process. When the final copy is ready, EIS submits a master publication to the client for review. Any additional client revisions are incorporated, and the master is resubmitted until the final master, meeting with full client approval, is ready for publication.
PUBLISH
Manufacture CD/DVD Disks or Flash Drives; Send to Print; or Post Web Publications
Upon client review and approval, the final master is submitted for production in specified form, including:
- Manufacture CD/DVD disks and flash drives
- Print publications
- Post downloadable publication
- Post web-hosted publication
DELIVER
Distribute Finished Goods
Before shipment, EIS contacts the intended recipient and confirms delivery arrangements. Note: EIS monitors progress of all shipments, until final receipt is confirmed. This part of the process is especially important when shipments to foreign destinations require customs processing.
Digital Warehousing
All completed digital publications are stored in EIS's "Digital Warehouse." Copies of the publication can be quickly accessed if additional CD/DVD disks, flash drives or print materials are needed or if the client wishes to revise and reissue the publication.
SUPPORT
Technical Support
EIS provides unlimited technical support for all products. Tech support is available via phone, email and web site.
